A Honey-pot of Sadness

I need a honey-pot of sadness
Of hot blankets and sticky tears
I need to taste its rich silence
And feel its brazen smears

I need a honey-pot of sadness
To adorn my gold-gloomed cries
I need the emotions to caress
My rusted soul with sweet ties

I need a honey-pot of sadness
To touch the warmth of a slash
I need to feel the strangle of sugar
Melting me into feathery ash

Please, I need this syrup of life
To escape this shell of numbness
I need to bathe in profound hurt
So get me a honey-pot of sadness
